Finn, a 10-year-old male Amur tiger from Minot’s Roosevelt Park Zoo, has a new home at the Sedgwick County Zoo at Wichita, Kansas.
Jennica King, director of Marketing and Communications for the Sedgwick County Zoo, said Finn arrived about two weeks ago and went on habitat - ready to meet visitors - this week.
According to zoo officials, Finn joins Callisto, a female tiger, as a recommendation from the AZA Species Survival Plan.
Described as intelligent, regal and incredibly vocal, Finn has already shown his new care team that he is ready to rule the zoo, according to zoo information.
King said the Sedgwick County Zoo is one of the largest zoos in the country and has about 700,000 visitors each year. She said there are 3,000 individual animals and nearly 400 species at the zoo.
