Western North Dakota Honor Flight officials from Bismarck hosted a virtual Honor Flight at Minot's Immanuel Baptist Church on Saturday, Oct. 3, for two Minot veterans, from left to right, David Snyder and Robert "Bob" Phipps," who were unable to attend the actual Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. Snyder is a U.S. Army veteran and Phipps is a U.S. Air Force veteran. It was the first time a virtual Honor Flight has been held in Minot. After watching a video of the actual Honor Flight experience that they missed, Snyder and Phipps were given a hearty, simulated welcome home by veterans, friends and family who gathered to honor them.
