BOTTINEAU - The Bottineau County Veterans recently hosted a pancake breakfast to benefit the Dakota Nursing Program at Dakota College at Bottineau.

The $1,500 raised will provide for three $500 nursing scholarships for DCB students enrolled in the practical nurse or Associate in Applied Science in nursing programs.

DCB's practicum is part of the Dakota Nursing Program, a consortium of community college nursing departments that work together to offer a common curriculum for a practical nursing certificate and an Associate in Applied Science in nursing. With programs in Bottineau, Minot and Valley City, DCB collaborates with medical centers across the state to provide students with practical experience.
