BISMARCK -- The Badlands Conservation Alliance's 27th Annual Meeting will be held at the Bismarck Public Library on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 2-4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

A panel discussion on the “State & Future of the Badlands” will be held. Panelists include Beth Ihle, U.S. Forest Service Dakota Prairie Grasslands supervisor; John Hanson, owner and operator of Logging Camp Ranch; Brock Wahl, executive director of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers; and a North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality representative.

The annual meeting and panel discussion follows Badlands Conservation Alliance's publication of “The Future of the Badlands,” a report that details the organization's mission and hope for the region and identifies the threats that are currently putting ranching, wildlife and recreation in the Badlands at risk.
