The Minot Sertoma Club is encouraging community members to donate no longer needed hearing aids and hearing-related supplies through Sertoma International’s Hearing Aid Recycling Program, helping provide hearing assistance to individuals who may not otherwise have access to it.
Through the program, previously owned hearing aids are collected, professionally reconditioned and redistributed to qualifying low-income individuals through participating hearing health providers.
“Many people have hearing aids tucked away in a drawer after upgrading to a newer model or following the loss of a loved one,” the Minot Sertoma Club said in a news release. “Those devices can make a meaningful difference in someone else’s life by helping them reconnect with family, friends and their community.”
The program accepts hearing aids of any age or condition, hearing aid accessories, unopened cleaning tools and unexpired hearing aid batteries. Donations may be dropped off at the following Minot locations: Professional Hearing Services, Miracle-Ear Hearing Aid Center, Hearing Dynamics, Thomas Family Funeral Home and Thompson-Larson Funeral Home.
