A Minot woman has been sentenced in North Central District Court in Minot to supervised probation for negligent homicide, a Class C felony, in connection with a vehicle-pedestrian incident in December 2025.
Jennifer Iverson, 45, was sentenced to five years with the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, to first serve two days and credit for the two days already served. She will be on probation for three years and must pay $5,744, which includes court fees and $5,630 in restitution.
According to the court affidavit, the Minot Police Department received a report at 9:07 p.m. on Dec. 14 of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Third Street Southeast and East Burdick Expressway. The investigation showed Iverson stopped at the red light while headed east on Burdick Expressway. The pedestrian entered the crosswalk after the pedestrian light turned green. Iverson made a left turn to head north on Third Street, striking the pedestrian in the crosswalk. The pedestrian later died from injuries from the crash.
