BISMARCK - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $1.54 million to North Dakota organizations to support environmental protection, brownfields cleanup and environmental incident response programs, according to U.S. Sen. Kevin Cramer.
The awards will be distributed as follows:
- $621,407 to the Three Affiliated Tribes to address its highest environmental priorities.
- $400,000 to Towner County Medical Center, Inc., for brownfields cleanup activities in Cando.
- $350,000 to the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa for its brownfields response program.
- $168,775 to the N.D. Department of Environmental Quality for the North Dakota Performance Partnership Grant.
