A Minot man is charged in North Central District Court with two counts of possession of certain materials prohibited, Class B felonies.
A preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 22 for Daniel Edward Skar, 45.
According to the court affidavit dated Aug. 7, the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation received a Cybertip report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, The cybertips, through subpoenas, were traced to Skar, a previous registered sex offender in North Dakota. A search warrant was executed that found files containing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) on a device.
