A Minot man faces attempted murder, terrorizing and other charges following a domestic violence call on Sunday, Sept. 27, according to the Minot Police Department.
Police responded at about 7:38 a.m. to an address in the 300 block of Sixth Street Northwest for a report of a domestic violence incident. Officers made contact with a female victim who had visible injuries. The victim reported she had been assaulted by a male suspect.
Due to the circumstances, the Minot Police Department SWAT Team was contacted to assist officers on scene. A search warrant was obtained, and SWAT officers subsequently took the suspect into custody.
The suspect, whose name has not been released, is charged with attempted murder, a Class A felony, and domestic violence with serious bodily injury, felonious restraint and terrorizing, all Class C felonies.
The suspect was transported to the Ward County Jail. The investigation remains ongoing
