Donations enhance nursing education programs

Trinity Health announced the donation of ventilators to Dakota College at Bottineau and Minot State University nursing programs.
After Trinity Health's respiratory therapy team received new ventilators, made possible through Trinity Health Foundation, the decision was made to donate rather than discard the equipment being retired.
The ventilators will enhance nursing students’ learning and provide technology that closely resembles what they will see in a clinical setting, according to Trinity Health. For nursing programs around the Minot area, this technology is not always available in a classroom setting. Now, students can learn and practice on simulated patients with a ventilator, building the confidence and experience they’ll need when they encounter real-life scenarios in the field.
"This donation grows out of the strong partnership between Trinity Health and the nursing programs at Dakota College at Bottineau and Minot State University," said Ben Anderson, vice president of Patient Care and chief nursing officer at Trinity Health. "By equipping these students with the tools they'll train on today, we're investing in the nurses who will care for our region tomorrow."
