City offices closed, fall cleanup set

All City of Minot offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

There will be no public transit on Sept. 7, and the City of Minot landfill will be closed. There will be no recycling pickup on Monday; a recycling make up day for residents with Monday/Thursday collection will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 9. The Minot Public Library will be closed on Sept. 7.

For water service emergencies, residents should call 857-1500.

The Minot City Council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 5:30 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall. A special City Council meeting and budget public hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 6 p.m.

Fall cleanup week will be the following week starting Monday, Sept. 14. Cleanup will start in west-northwest Minot and rotate clockwise around the map, ending on Friday for cleanup in the southwest quadrant of the city. The map order has changed from past cleanup weeks. Residents are asked to check the map and frequently asked questions on the city website.

Sanitation customers may dispose of accumulated trash at the landfill, free of charge, during the week of Sept. 14-18. Just bring a City of Minot water bill to the landfill.
