A mounted color guard with the flagbearers carrying the United States and the North Dakota flags, lead the parade Saturday, Sept. 5, in Alexander for the 81st annual Old Settlers’ Day. This year's festival and event button honored longtime community member, the late, Hildreth "Hilly" Ablemann, who lived on his farm for 91 of his 94.5 years of life.
