Trinity Health in Minot has announced the purchase of a Trident HD specimen Radiography system, a mobile system which provides immediate, high-resolution imaging of breast tissue specimens in the operating room.

The system was paid for with support from the Trinity Health Foundation and donors, along with the Double D-Haw fundraising event. Described by Trinity Health as transformative for breast cancer surgery, the device will eliminate the need to transport tissue for imaging and review, which can potentially increase procedure time and delay decision-making.
