A Surrey man has received a deferred sentence in North Central District Court in a case involving drug sales to minors.
Jason Alex Forsman, Surrey, pleaded guilty in May to three felony B counts of accomplice to deliver a controlled substance and was sentenced on Aug. 12.
He was placed on three years probation and ordered to have no contact with the juveniles or a parent. Total fees imposed were $775.
His sentences on the counts were five years with the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, with credit for two days served, followed by three years probation. All would run concurrently.
A felony A charge of accomplice to deliver a controlled substance within 300 feet of a public park and four felony C charges of accomplice to possess with intent to manufacture or deliver marijuana were dismissed.
In 2025, the Minot Police Department was contacted by a parent who believed her daughter was sold Adderall and marijuana. Investigators identified Forsman and Brynn Elizabeth Swanson as suspects. Swanson received a deferred sentence in June for delivery of a controlled substance within 300 feet of a public park, a felony A, and two counts of delivery of a controlled substance-Schedule II stimulant, both felony B.
