State accepting applications for septic initiative

BISMARCK - The North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality is accepting applications for the Septic Renovation Water Quality Initiative, a funding opportunity designed to support water quality improvements through the renovation of failing septic systems.

Eligible applicants include non-federal entities such as local governments, joint powers boards, or nonprofit organizations. Applicants will specify a local project area to provide rebates to individual property owners for renovating their failing septic systems.

The application deadline is Wednesday, Sept. 30.
