STANLEY - Stanley has been granted $650,000 in loans from State Revolving Fund programs for phase three of a capital improvement project that includes street reconstruction and watermain and sanitary sewer main replacements to reduce operation and maintenance costs and improve system reliability, according to the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality and the North Dakota Public Finance Authority.
The two state agencies awarded six loans to four communities in August to support critical water infrastructure. Casselton, Bowman and Grand Forks also received funding.
Stanley’s funding includes a $350,000 Clean Water State Revolving Fund loan and a $300,000 Drinking Water State Revolving Fund loan.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency provides part of the SRF programs' funding, which offer below-market interest rate loans to political subdivisions for financing projects authorized under the Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act.
