Spill occurs near Ross

ROSS - A produced water spill occurred Thursday, Aug. 13, at the Erie SWD 5793 11-12 site, 10.5 miles northwest of Ross.

Falcon Midstream Services LLC reported to the North Dakota Oil and Gas Division that 1,100 barrels of produced water was released onto location. As of Thursday, 1,062 barrels of produced water had been recovered.

Produced water is a byproduct of oil and gas production,

A N.D. Oil and Gas inspector has been to the location and will monitor any additional cleanup required.
