NEW TOWN - Nineteen people have filed as candidates for the Three Affiliated Tribes’ Business Council.
According to the uncertified candidates list announced by the Tribal Election Board Monday, Aug. 17, the following individuals filed for the following respective positions in the 2026 primary election.
Chairman: Stacey Driver, Robert Roaming Wolf Sr., Vivian Hall, Darwin Williams, Lloree Dickens, Monica Mayer, Frederick Fox and Whitney Bell.
Four Bears representative: Robert White (incumbent), Yvette Young Bear, Reynold Young Bird Jr. and Marcus Levings.
Twin Buttes representative: Terrance Fredericks, Margaret Pfeifer, Cory Spotted Bear (incumbent) and Shayne Alcon.
Parshall representative: Delmer Crows Breast Sr., Iman Moore and Mervin Packineau (incumbent).
According to the Three Affiliated Tribes’ Election Ordinance, any qualified voter can challenge the eligibility of any candidate by filing a duly verified written affidavit with the Tribal Election Board. Any challenge of eligibility must be filed within a three-day period - no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20.
The primary election will be Tuesday, Sept. 22, and the general election will be Tuesday, Nov. 3.
