Hattie Heer was awarded a Certificate of Recognition from the Kiwanis Educational Foundation of the Minnesota-Dakotas Kiwanis District for earning the foundation’s scholarship. She attended the Wednesday, Aug. 5, meeting of the Minot Golden Kiwanis with her mother, Cassie, to accept the award. Heer, who is from South Prairie, received a $1,000 scholarship from the Kiwanis Educational Foundation for her application and plans to attend North Dakota State University this fall to major in nursing, with a minor in entrepreneurship.
