WATFORD CITY - A Plaza man was arrested on felony drug charges following a traffic stop in McKenzie County earlier this month.
According to the Northwest Narcotics Task Force, it obtained information regarding a suspected drug run destined for Plaza. Acting on information developed during the investigation, on Aug. 16, the McKenzie County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop in Alexander on the suspected vehicle. During the stop, K9 Teo alerted to the presence of narcotics, which resulted in the seizure of 11.94 pounds of suspected methamphetamine, 155 grams of suspected cocaine, 350 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms and two firearms.
The driver, Bogdan Chivaran, 43, of Plaza was arrested at the scene and charged with multiple felony Class A possession with intent to deliver offenses. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 8 in Northwest District Court in McKenzie County.
