JILL SCHRAMM/MDN A crew hangs protective sheeting on the Third Street Bridge in downtown Minot on Monday, Aug.10, in preparation for painting that is part of maintenance occurring on a Montana-Dakota Utilities gas line that hangs beneath the sidewalk along the west side of the bridge. The City of Minot has scheduled rehabilitation of the bridge itself for 2027. The work will address bridge elements in serious need of repair and secure the structure to serve until some time into the future when it would be replaced. Constructed in 1936, the 912-foot bridge carries Third Street Northeast over the Souris River and three BNSF Railway lines.

Starting at /week.
