US HHS awards funds in ND

WASHINGTON - The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced the award of $4.67 million for initiatives across North Dakota to support Head Start, diabetes prevention and treatment and opioid response.

Among the grants for diabetes prevention and treatment programs were $218,449 to the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians, $155,194 to the Three Affiliated Tribes and $135,604 to the Spirit Lake Tribe.
