On Saturday, July 18, several Minot roads will be closed in the morning for the annual North

Dakota State Parade.

The parade route will begin at the intersection of 18th Avenue Southwest and South Broadway. It will proceed northbound to Burdick Expressway, where the route will continue eastbound on Burdick, ending at the North Dakota State Fairgrounds. The parade is preceded by the "Run the Route 5K," which starts at 8:45 a.m.

Officers will begin blocking traffic at 8 a.m., starting with South Broadway from 18th Avenue Southwest to Burdick Expressway, at 8:30 a.m. Burdick Expressway East will be blocked to traffic for the duration of the parade. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes.

Eastwood Park residents will still have access to their neighborhood throughout the parade. The detour route will direct motorists under the Burdick Expressway bridge for both entering and exiting the neighborhood. Flaggers and all necessary barricades will be in place.

Northbound or southbound travelers trying to navigate around the parade route closures to get to either end of town are advised that 16th Street Southwest, the Bypass and 27th Street Southeast will be the most efficient options during the parade

Starting at /week.
