Parks, Northern Bottling team up to celebrate

By MND STAFF 2 min read

The Minot Park District and Northern Bottling are teaming up to celebrate 75 years of Pepsi and its long-standing partnership by hosting Pepsi Play Day on Friday, Aug. 15, from 2-5 p.m. in Oak Park.

This free community event will feature food trucks, yard games, Pepsi beverages and plenty of family-friendly fun as Minot Parks and Northern Bottling celebrate a partnership that has helped support parks, programs and the Minot community for generations.

“Northern Bottling has been an incredible partner to the Minot Park District,” said Elly DesLauriers, executive director of the Minot Park District. “Their commitment to our community has helped enhance countless events, parks and recreational opportunities over the years. We’re excited to celebrate this milestone together and invite everyone to join us for an afternoon of fun in the park."

“For 75 years, the Gokey family has been honored to serve the Minot community as Pepsi’s local bottler," said Will Gokey, a fourth generation family member in the business. "Our partnership with the Minot Park District reflects what has always been important to us -- investing in the people and organizations that make the communities we serve such a great place to live. Pepsi Play Day is our way of celebrating not only this milestone, but also the generations of team members, customers and consumers who have supported us along the way. We look forward to continuing that commitment for many years to come.”

Guests of all ages are encouraged to attend and enjoy an afternoon of games, food, refreshments and community celebration.
