The North Dakota State Parade in Minot, with the theme “Celebrating 250 Years of Heroes,” will be held Saturday, July 18.

The biggest parade in North Dakota, it will have well over 200 units.

The parade starts at 9:15 a.m. and follows Burdick Expressway east from Broadway and through the North Dakota State Fairgrounds.

This year’s grand marshal, selected by the N.D. State Parade Committee, is the Western North Dakota Honor Flight, an organization honoring military veterans by taking them on flights to visit memorials in Washington, D.C.

The organization’s selection as grand marshal recognizes the military veterans living in western North Dakota and the volunteers, sponsors, donors and communities who support Honor Flight’s mission, according committee officials.

Twyla Scott is chairman of the N.D. State Parade Committee.

Starting at $3.75/week.
