Mohall to celebrate 125th anniversary
MOHALL – The community of Mohall will be celebrating its 125th anniversary with many events from Friday, July 10, through Sunday, July 12.
Activities open on Friday at the Community Center with registration and a welcome social from 1-4 p.m. Go-karts and bouncy houses will be at the Mohall Lansford Sherwood Public School grounds Friday afternoon and the Mohall Museum will hold an open house from 2-6 p.m. A free community supper will be held in the Community Center from 5:30-7 p.m., then Little Miss Mohall and Little Mr. Mohall will be crowed at 6 p.m. A cornhole tournament starts in the parking lot west of Cheers II Ya at 7 p.m. The evening concludes with a street dance.
On Saturday, activities begin at the Community Center with a freewill community breakfast served by the Mohall Ambulance and Fire Department from 7-9:30 a.m., the Randy Johnson Memorial 5K at 8 a.m., and registration and welcome social from 1-4 p.m.
At 10 a.m., the 125th Anniversary Parade begins on Main Street. Parade registration is at 9:30 a.m.
Following the parade, Mohall’s 15th Annual Classic Car & Motorcycle Show will be held in the city park from 1-5 p.m. Live entertainment in the city park will include Lenee Volker from 1-2 p.m. and again from 3-4 p.m., and the Community Band from 2-3 p.m. Food vendors will be available in the park and a food truck that evening.
There will be bouncy houses with water added, weather permitting, at the MLS School ground from 1:30-5:30 p.m.
Family Feud is planned for the Community Center at 5:30 p.m. The evening ends with a street dance and fireworks.
Anniversary activities wrap up Sunday with a freewill community breakfast served by the Mohall FFA Chapter from 7-9:30 a.m. at the Community Center, followed by a community worship service at 11 a.m. in city park.
