Iconic Clydesdales taking part in parade, fair

ELOISE OGDEN/MDN The world famous Budweiser Clydesdales, shown in the 2025 North Dakota State Parade, will be in the parade Saturday, July 18, and also at the North Dakota State Fair, including special events there, through Saturday, July 25.

The iconic Budweiser Clydesdales and American hero retired U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Rockey Sickmann are in Minot to celebrate Budweiser's 150th anniversary and the brand's 16-year partnership with Folds of Honor.

According to Anheuser-Busch information, from July 18-25, the Clydesdales will take part in a series of special events in Minot.

The events include:

- Tuesday July 21, 6:30-7:30 p.m. The full Clydesdale hitch will be featured at the Indian Horse Relay event at the State Fair Grandstand for a special parade, followed by a Folds of Honor check presentation at 7 p.m., honoring local recipient Alece Julia Blazek, a recent graduate of Minot State University

Anheuser-Busch, its industry leading brands and wholesaler partners, have donated $37 million to Folds of Honor, funding 7,400 scholarships.

To mark 16 years of partnership with Folds of Honor, the Budweiser Clydesdales are on a cross-country tour, honoring the nonprofit organization that provides life-changing educational scholarships to the families of fallen or disabled U.S. service members and first responders.

This summer, Budweiser and the Budweiser Clydesdales will bring the mission of Folds of Honor directly to communities nationwide, showing up at local events, state fairs and sporting events to celebrate service, spark local pride and shine a spotlight on the impact of Folds of Honor.

Additional viewings of the Clydesdales include:

- Saturday, July 18, beginning at 9:15 a.m. The full hitch will be featured in the North Dakota State Parade.

- Sunday, July 19; Monday, July 20; Wednesday, July 22; and Friday, July 24, from 5:30-7 p.m. One horse showing at Busch Bar at the N.D. State Fair.

- Friday, July 24, and Saturday, July 25, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The full hitch will be featured in a fair parade.
