Four people injured in motorcycle crash

BOTTINEAU - Four people were injured in a crash involving multiple motorcycles Saturday, July 25, on N.D. Highway 43, 10 miles north of Bottineau.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, about 2:01 p.m., a white sedan was westbound on Highway 43 and passing a pickup that was towing a boat. A group of about 10-12 motorcycles was traveling east. The driver of the sedan, while passing the pickup, met the group of motorcycles in the eastbound lane which forced two motorcycles off the road. One motorcycle rubbed up on another which caused the driver to lose control and crash.

A 37-year-old male driver from Belcourt, and a 62-year-old male driver from Belcourt, were injured and taken by ambulance to a Bottineau health center. A 67-year-old male driver from Belcourt, and passenger, a 30-year-old female from Dunseith, were airlifted to a Minot hospital with serious injuries.

None of those injured were wearing helmets, according to the Highway Patrol.The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
