Final season performances set at Peace Garden
DUNSEITH – Music camp continues this week at the International Peace Garden, culminating Saturday, July 25, with a series of programs and performances.
The art exhibit will be open from 10 a.m.-noon in the Alme International Arts Centre. The mallet percussion recital will be at 11 a.m. in the Percussive Arts Center. The world percussion concert will start at noon in the Burdick Center for the Performing Arts, followed by the band concert. The fiddle exhibition will begin at 1 p.m. and the orchestra concert will complete the day’s events starting at 1:30 p.m., both in the Masonic Auditorium.
The final performances of the summer at the International Music Camp will be held on Tuesday, July 28, and will feature adult musicians participating in IMC’s Adult Camp. The art exhibition, world percussion, handbells, guitar, choir and barbershop choirs will perform at 4 p.m. in the Burdick Center for the Performing Arts. The community orchestras, concert bands, jazz band and brass band will perform at the Burdick Center for the Performing Arts at 7 p.m.
Juvel performs Friday and Saturday, July 24-25, during the Festival of the Arts on the Burdick Center Stage. Juvel is the musical project of four dynamic musicians providing Romani jazz and early swing.
