Carrington man injured in motorcycle crash

KENSAL - A 31-year-old Carrington man was injured Friday, July 17, when the motorcycle he was riding crashed on N.D. Highway 9, west of Kensal.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, about 7:19 p.m., three motorcycles were traveling eastbound on Highway 9. A 1994 Harley-Davidson driven by the 31-year-old Carrington man, left the roadway, entered the south ditch, struck an approach, and the driver was thrown from the motorcycle. The driver sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to the hospital in Carrington before being flown to a Fargo medical center. The driver was not wearing a helmet and did not have a motorcycle endorsement.

The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
