Minot man dies in UTV crash with vehicle
A 73 year old Minot man driving an UTV sustained fatal injuries in a crash with a passenger car on U.S. Highway 2 on the east side of Minot on Tuesday, June 16, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The Highway Patrol reported a 2022 Can Am Maverick X3 UTV took the wrong way down an off-ramp and then traveled westbound in the eastbound lane of Highway 2. A 2017 Cadillac XT5, driven by a 60 year old Minot man, was eastbound on Highway 2 when it collided with the UTV head-on. The driver of the UTV sustained fatal injuries. The driver of the Cadillac sustained minor injuries. The crash occurred at 11:43 a.m.
The driver of the car was wearing a seat belt. The UTV driver had no seat belt or helmet in use, the Highway Patrol reported.
The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
