Lansford Threshing Show this weekend

LANSFORD – The annual Lansford Threshing Show will take place Saturday and Sunday, June 27-28, at the Lansford threshing grounds on the south side of town, sponsored by the Lansford Thresher’s and Historical Association.

All times are subject to potential change, but Saturday’s schedule includes breakfast at the cafe, a tractor pull at 9 a.m., with weigh in at 8 a.m., and a noon-5 p.m. car cruise. The Arlan Wenstad Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m.

Food truck concessions will be available from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., and on Saturday evening a steak fry will be held at the Lansford Country Club from 5-9 p.m.

Sunday’s activities include breakfast at the Country Club, a tractor trek that leaves from the threshing grounds at 8:30 a.m. and a country church service at 10:30 a.m. A parade through town, beginning at 1 p.m., will leave from the elevator.

Following the parade, there will be wheat threshing, an ice cream social at the museum, a kiddie tractor pull in front of the museum and a straw pile coin hunt for the children.

Food truck concessions will be open from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday.

Vendors will be set up both days. A toy show, blacksmith demonstratons, a static tractor display and a City of Lansford replica also will be available for viewing both days.
