Fantasy role-playing adventure set
WASHBURN — The Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center near Washburn will host “Dugouts & Pirogues: The Way Through the Northern Corridor,” a Dungeons & Dragons-inspired tabletop role-playing event, on Saturday, July 25, from 1-4 p.m. in the library. The program is family-friendly and open to ages 12 and older. Participants ages 12 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
During this ongoing monthly campaign, step into a fantasy expedition inspired by historical themes of the Corps of Discovery using Dungeons & Dragons 2024 fifth edition rules in a custom setting. Join an imaginary journey along the Nirilnesca River, mapping new territory and making contact with an Indigenous nation while navigating the challenges of an unfamiliar landscape.
A brief overview of game expectations will be provided before play begins. Players will use level-one characters. Pre-made character sheets will be provided, though experienced players may bring their own characters built using official 2024 fifth edition materials and point-buy stats.
The event is free and limited to eight players. Learn more about this module and register at DugoutsAndPiroguesJuly2026.eventbrite.com
