Constitutional Platform PAC backs reform in Minot

The Constitutional Platform PAC announced Thursday, July 11, the results of the June 9 election mark the beginning, not the end, of its effort to build a stronger reform movement in Minot and across North Dakota.

“These results show that many voters are ready for a clearer constitutional, anti-crony, limited-government message, even as the old political structure remains deeply entrenched,” the PAC said in its release. “The support shown for Josiah Roise, Isaiah Keller, David Wiley, and Alex Balazs demonstrates that there is a real and growing constituency for candidates willing to challenge business as usual.”

Roise ran for Minot mayor and Keller and Wiley were among city council candidates. Balazs, the Republican endorsed candidate for U.S. House, was defeated by incumbent Julie Fedorchak, who advances to the general election.

Although the candidates were not elected, the PAC said it views the election as an important foundation for future organizing, especially in Minot, where constitutional and reform-minded candidates continue to build name recognition and voter support. CPC said the next phase will focus on strengthening neighborhood outreach, refining issue-based messaging around taxes, transparency and accountable local government, and building a broader coalition capable of competing in future city races.

“Campaigns do not succeed by one election alone,” the PAC said. “They succeed when people keep showing up, keep organizing, and keep telling the truth about what needs to change. That work continues today.”
