Surrey FFA Chapter celebrates major milestones

Easton Dickinson was named an American FFA Degree candidate.

SURREY — The Surrey FFA Chapter has announced recent outstanding achievements that highlight the continued growth and success of its members and program.

Leading the accomplishments is Morgan Wald, a senior and current chapter president, who has earned the prestigious State FFA Degree. This honor represents one of the highest recognitions at the state level, awarded to members who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to agricultural education, leadership and supervised agricultural experiences (SAE). Wald’s achievement is supported by her SAE project, on which she has worked diligently, providing lawn care services during the summer months and adding valuable skills to her resume.

The chapter also celebrates Easton Dickinson, who has been named its first-ever American FFA Degree candidate, an honor achieved by fewer than 1% of FFA members nationwide. Dickinson previously made history as the chapter’s first State Degree recipient in 2025 and was also recognized as a State Star in Agricultural Placement finalist in 2025. His accomplishments stem from his SAE project working for D&L Sales and Service, where he has gained valuable hands-on experience and demonstrated excellence in agricultural placement.

In addition, the Surrey FFA Chapter has earned the State Superior Chapter designation for the second consecutive year, recognizing the chapter’s overall excellence in programming, member involvement and leadership development as it continues to grow and strengthen opportunities for students.

Since its establishment in 2021, Surrey FFA has rapidly grown into a thriving program under the leadership of adviser Molly Hanson. The chapter continues to provide students with opportunities to develop leadership skills, gain hands-on agricultural experience and make meaningful contributions to their community.

Morgan Wald earned the prestigious State FFA Degree.

“These achievements reflect the hard work and dedication of our members,” Hanson said. “We are incredibly proud of Morgan, Easton and all of our students who continue to raise the standard for excellence in our chapter.”
