Summer season concert series announced
Local Motives announces the Levitt AMP Minot Music Series’ full lineup for the upcoming inaugural summer season, bringing 10 weeks of free live music to
Citizens Alley in downtown Minot. The series will feature national, regional and local artists while expanding opportunities for Minot musicians through community partnerships.
The series also supports the local arts community. Through a partnership with the Minot Area Council of the Arts, all opening musicians will be local and regional performers, creating paid opportunities that help artists develop and build toward future headlining roles.
“This series is about building something lasting and creating more opportunities for Minot,” said Jessica Ackerman, executive director of the nonprofit organization Local Motives. “By investing in local artists and creating consistent opportunities to perform, we’re helping grow a music ecosystem where talent can develop, gain recognition, and stay rooted in this community.”
The Minot Area Council of the Arts will also have a weekly presence at each concert, hosting a featured artist booth and interactive art activities that invite attendees to engage with the local creative community beyond the stage.
The Levitt AMP program, funded by the Levitt Family Foundation, supports free outdoor concert series across the country with a focus on activating public spaces
and strengthening community connections through music. In Minot, that vision comes to life in Citizens Alley, where organizers aim to create a vibrant, welcoming
space that brings people together week after week.
“We want Citizens Alley to be a place that fosters a sense of belonging, community, and joy,” said Jessica Ackerman. “It’s about creating a space where neighbors
connect, families gather, and people feel part of something bigger.”
