The Minot Police Department will host its 2026 impound auction on Saturday, May 9.

Seifert Auction Service will run the auction, which will be held at the City of Minot Impound Lot, 1025 31st St. SE. Gates open at 9 a.m., and the auction begins at 10 a.m.

There will be a diverse selection of items at the auction. Vehicles, firearms, bicycles and other assorted properties will be up for grabs. Buyers must remove their purchased items two hours after the auction, and all payments must be made in cash or check.

Anyone who wishes to purchase a firearm must bring a valid state ID. Firearms will not be released to the buyer on auction day. Seifert Auction Services will complete the Federal Firearms Licensee background check off-site and contact buyers to arrange pickup of the firearm(s) upon completion of the background check.
