Souris Valley United Way has announced it will host a Pickle Palooza on Saturday, June 27, from 3-6 p.m. in Citizens Alley.

This family-friendly fundraiser will feature pickle-inspired food sampling and voting, live music from The ChokeCherries & Jared Shumaier, fun contests such as pickle juice chugging, children’s activities with Magic City Discovery Center and local vendors with pickle-themed items.

Local restaurants will compete in the “Best Pickle Bite” showdown. Tickets are limited and can be obtained from the United Way.

The United Way also is looking for event volunteers to help with setup, support during the event and tear down. Volunteers who sign up by May 29 will receive a free T-shirt.
