MOMS Club to hold membership, diaper drive
The MOMS Club of Minot-Burlington has announced its official Spring Membership Drive, taking place on Friday, May 15, at 3 p.m. in Radio City Park. In the spirit of mothers supporting mothers, the event will also feature a communitywide diaper drive to benefit the Delight & Co. Diaper Pantry.
As the first and largest international nonprofit specifically for at-home mothers, the MOMS Club (Moms Offering Moms Support) provides a vital support system for women during the daytime hours. The local chapter offers a variety of activities, from educational speakers and service projects to hobby groups, all designed with the philosophy that “at-home mothering” should not mean “home alone.”
“We know that all mothers work, and choosing to be home to raise your children is a proud and important role, but it can also be isolating,” said Rosie Conklin, membership vice president, in a news release.. “We are building a village where moms can participate in the community with their children by their side. Our partnership with Delight & Co. for this drive is the perfect way to show how our members can make a tangible impact right here in Minot.”
The club is collecting diapers (especially sizes 4, 5 and 6), baby wipes, and other high-demand infant items, such as pull-up diapers, for the pantry.
Local mothers interested in joining the club or members of the community wishing to donate are encouraged to attend. Children are welcome to come and play.
MOMS Club (Moms Offering Moms Support) is an international nonprofit organization with more than 1,500 chapters
