Local students attend state leadership conference
Members of the Minot High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter attended the annual North Dakota FBLA State Leadership Conference March 29-31. The conference connected over 60 FBLA chapters from across the state who put their business skills to the test in competitive events.
Minot High School was recognized as having the largest chapter in North Dakota, with a total of 71 members, 38 of which attended the conference. One member, Joy Jiang, was elected as the North Dakota State FBLA Parliamentarian.
The following students placed first: Daniel Franco, Accounting; Nick Franko, Data Science and AI; Arielle Wright, Intro to Retail and Merchandising; Gia Schonauer, Project Management. Second place: Tyler Vetsch, Intro to Marketing Concepts; Elizabeth Newman, Intro to Retail and Merchandising; Elizabeth Newman, Intro to Supply Chain Management. Third place: Temitope Omole, Intro to Business Communications; Joy Jiang, Intro to Business Presentations; Kaydence Just, Intro to Business Procedures. Fourth place: Beckett Fogarty, Data Analysis; Daniel Franco, Economics; Hailee Racine, Intro to Business Procedures; Saige Carlson and Nangelena Lopez, Sales Presentation. Fifth place: Kaydence Just, Intro to Business Communications; Darby Mowbray, Job Interview; Jeron Melholff and Logan Ludwig, Sports and Entertainment Management. Sixth place: Talia Griswold, Computer Problem Solving; Hope Hauck, Healthcare Administration; Gavyn Yoder, Personal Finance. Seventh place: Gianna Malachowski, Intro to FBLA; Gia Schonauer, Networking Infrastructure. Ninth place: Leah Dokken, Economics; Joy Jiang, Intro to Parliamentary Procedures. Tenth place: Tyler Vetsch, Intro to Retail and Merchandising.
