Submitted Photo Firefighters from Minot Fire Department quickly extinguish a grass fire in northeast Minot Monday, May 4.

According to Minot Fire Department, about 2:20 p.m., Minot Central Dispatch received reports of a grass fire in the 1300 block of Third Street Northeast.

Firefighters arrived on scene and quickly extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported, and no damage occurred to the nearby residence.

The cause of the fire was a downed power line, according to the information. Xcel Energy responded to the scene and shut off power to the line.
