Ward County archers succeed at Morton County match

BISMARCK — Ward County 4-H archers competed in the Morton County 4-H Indoor Archery match held March 21 in Bismarck. The county was well represented, with 30 youth competing across multiple age and bow divisions.
Indoor archery competitions are divided by both age and bow type. Age divisions include Beginner (ages 8-10), Junior (11-13), and Senior (14-18), and Masters (ages 14 and up who have qualified for national competition). Bow divisions include Barebow, which uses no sights or release aids, and Freestyle, which allows sights and releases.
Results of this match for Ward County 4-H participants are as follows:
Senior Freestyle Division: Breanna Mindt, Minot, ninth place (295).
Also representing Ward County were Faith Carpenter of Granville; Grady Mostad, Tyson Perdue, Madison Privratsky, Rachel Privratsky, Teagan Strilcov, Cole Whitcher and Brandie Yoder of Minot; and Stetson Brandvold of Ryder. The team of Mindt, Mostad, Strilcov and Whitcher placed fourth overall with a combined score of 872.

Senior Barebow Division: Raegan Albert, Garrison, first place (288).
Also representing Ward County were Abrielle Michel of Berthold and Mindt. The team of Albert, Michel and Mindt placed second overall with a combined score of 720.
Junior Freestyle Division: Quade Everson, Minot, seventh place (148); and Owen Peterson, Minot, eighth place (147).
Also representing Ward County were Peyton Opp, Ryder Prellwitz, Fletcher Privratsky, Hadley Yoder, Kelbie Yoder and Tyson Yoder, all of Minot; Sophia Carlton of Norwich; and Tabitha Hauge of Surrey. The team of Everson, Peterson, Prellwitz, and Tyson Yoder placed second overall with a combined score of 437.
Junior Barebow Division: Taryn Albert, Garrison, fourth place (267).

Also representing Ward County was Tayler Knoke of Surrey. The team of Albert and Knoke placed sixth overall with a combined score of 516.
Beginner Freestyle Division: Representing Ward County were Claire Babinchak and Parker Murphy of Carpio; and Emma Peterson and Lillian Privratsky of Minot. The combined team of Babinchak, Murphy, Peterson and Privratsky earned sixth place with a combined score of 307.
Beginner Barebow Division: Representing Ward County were Olivia Michel of Berthold and Victoria Carlton of Norwich. The team of Carlton and Michel placed ninth overall with a combined score of 194.
