Public input sought into area transit plan

The Central Dakota Metropolitan Planning Organization (CDMPO) invites the public to review the draft Transit Development Plan for the Minot area and provide comments. CDMPO also invites the public to attend a public meeting to learn about the draft recommendations and provide feedback.

The Transit Development Plan is a planning effort focused on evaluating current transit services, identifying community needs and developing recommendations to guide future transit investments and improvements over the next five to 10 years.

The public comment period will be open through May 31. To review the draft transit plan and provide comments, members of the public can visit the project website at https://arcg.is/0W8TvT.

Two identical public meetings will be held Tuesday, May 26, from 4:30-6 p.m. and Wednesday, May 27, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., both in Minot City Council Chambers at 10 3rd Ave. SW.

Attendees will be able to review the full plan with draft recommendations, speak with project staff and share feedback on the draft document. A recorded presentation will also play periodically. The meeting will be open-house style, and members of the public may come and go at any time during either meeting.

Public input is a critical part of the planning process, and CDMPO encourages residents, transit riders, businesses, and other stakeholders to attend and share their perspectives.

The Central Dakota MPO will consider every request for reasonable accommodation. Appropriate provisions will be considered when the Central Dakota MPO is notified at least seven days prior to the meeting date or the date the written material translation is needed.

To request accommodation, contact City of Minot Title VI and ADA coordinator at 857-4756. TTY users may use Relay North Dakota at 711 or 1-800-366-6888.

Starting at $2.99/week.
