Minot man arrested after domestic incident

A 31-year-old Minot man was charged with reckless endangerment with extreme indifference to human life-firearm involved, a Class B felony; and domestic violence-serious bodily injury, felonious restraint and terrorizing, all Class C felonies, following a domestic incident in northwest Minot Wednesday, April 8. An additional charge for discharging a firearm within city limits is pending.

According to Minot Police, about 10 p.m., officers responded to a northwest Minot apartment for a reported domestic altercation. During the course of the incident, a firearm was discharged. The victim was able to call 9-1-1 as the suspect left the area.

Officers arrived and made contact with the victim. While officers were investigating, the suspect came back to the residence. The suspect, the 31-year-old Minot man, was taken into custody and transported to the Ward County Jail without further incident.

The victim did not request immediate medical attention at the time of the incident.
