Felon charged after multi-agency investigation

A Minot man has been arrested and charged five felony counts for possession with intent to distribute marijauna and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Thomas Alefteras, 55, was arrested on Tuesday, March 31, after members of the Minot Police Department, Minot SWAT, North Dakota Highway Patrol, Ward County Sheriff’s Department and Ward County Narcotics Task Force executed multiple search warrants at locations in southwest and northwest Minot.

According to the Minot Police Department, Alefteras was identified by investigators as a suspect associated with a hotel room in southwest Minot and a residence in northwest Minot. Investigators located multiple firearms and marijuana were seized. Alefteras has been charged with four counts of unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and one count of possession with intent to deliver marijuana.
