Corps seeks comments on Kenmare sewer system repairs
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is seeking comments on a draft environmental assessment (EA) to upgrade the sanitary sewer and water system in Kenmare.
The proposed project would support upgrades to the system through either rehabilitation of sewer and water mains or by completely replacing mains that are beyond repair or out of code. Any impacted hydrants, curb stops, service lines or gate valves also would be repaired or replaced. The proposed project is set to occur completely within the city’s right of way. Construction for the project is anticipated to begin this summer and last four months.
A final determination on the draft EA will be made following the public review period. The Corps of Engineers is conducting a review of the environmental effects in accordance with the National Environment Policy Act.
Comments should be submitted no later than May 1. Questions and comments concerning the project should be directed to CEMVP_Planning@usace.army.mil. Please address mail correspondence on this project to the St. Paul District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Attention: Regional Planning and Environment Division North, 332 Minnesota St., Suite E1500, St. Paul, MN 55101.
