CROSBY — About 9,996 gallons of crude oil spilled due to a tank failure Thursday, March 26, abut 15 miles southwest of Crosby.

According to Murex Petroleum Corp., 5,586 gallons of crude oil impacted the adjacent agricultural field.

Murex Petroleum Corp. notified the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality of the spill.

Personnel from the NDDEQ are inspecting the site and will continue to monitor the investigation and remediation.
