VELVA – The Souris River Joint Board will hold a public information meeting on Thursday, March 19, to present the current plans for the Velva Bridge Replacement Project as part of the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Plan. The open house begins at 6:30 p.m. in Velva City Hall, 101 First St. W.

The meeting will focus on the engineered and North Dakota Department of Transportation bridge plan, details tied to the schedule and potential impacts to the community and its residents.

SRJB members and representatives from the engineering team will provide a formal presentation and take public questions at 7 p.m. Attendees will have an opportunity before and after the presentation to talk to project officials.
