Public comment period open for CDGB plan

The City of Minot has announced the 30-day public comment period is open for the PY 2026 Community Development Block Grant Annual Action Plan and the Citizen Participation Plan.

The full text of the plans can be found on the City of Minot website, outlines proposed methods for allocating the remaining CDBG funds from PY 2024 and PY 2025, as well as the anticipated PY 2026 allocation to eligible sub-recipients. The Action Plan also identifies the City’s goals for the use of these resources, the criteria that will guide funding decisions and the processes the city will employ to ensure that CDBG funding primarily benefits individuals and households of low-to-moderate income.

The Citizen Participation Plan establishes a framework for public involvement, ensuring residents, agencies and stakeholders can participate in planning, implementations and evaluation of CDBG programs. It emphasizes engagement from low-to-moderate income individuals, residents of public and assisted housing and residents of areas where CDBG funds are invested.

Both plans will be presented to the Minot City Council on Monday, May 4. Comment submissions can be submitted before that date to CDBG Entitlement Grant Manager Jodi Erickson at PO Box 5006, Minot, ND 58702-5006 or Jodi.Erickson@MinotND.gov.

Starting at $2.99/week.
