Parenting webinar to focus on neurodiverse brains

“Parenting Your Child with ADHD and Other Neurodiverse Brains” will be offered online Tuesday, March 17, from noon-1 p.m.

This North Dakota State University Extension Parent and Family Education webinar will focus on a general understanding of the difficulty in accessing a neurotypical world and three phases of supporting children with ADHD. The phases include offering neurodivergent children clarity and connection to allow them to feel confident in navigating systems not built for their brains; offering consequences and structure to help them feel confident and secure in what to “do” rather than what “not to do”;’ and skill building for moving through developmental phases in life that will often be discrepant from typical development.

The webinar will be led by clinical psychologist Dr. William Lacey-Bisetty.

Continuing education credits are available for counselors, social workers and occupational therapists.

Contact the NDSU Extension Center-Ward County for registration information.

Starting at $2.99/week.
